When I bought my faberware perculator this top was recommended to go on the top of the perculator. It does not fit and is not for this perculator. I did not send it back because it costs more to send it back then to keep it. Someone might want to make sure when something is recommended to go with an item that it fits that item.

Both of the stove top percolators, which I ordered from Amazon at the same time are described as being stainless steel or I would not have ordered them either. I ordered two of these glass tops at the same time as two Farberware coffee pots because Amazon recommended this product to go along with the Farberware coffee pots, which have plastic percolator tops and I know from past experience that such tops crack and break over time. I would not have ordered one of these glass percolator tops, let alone two (which I did), had the description mentioned that there was an aluminum attachment that had to be used with the glass top. I do not want my coffee perked with anything aluminum. When the two glass tops arrived from Goodman's, I immediately recognized them as being the same thing that I bought at Ace Hardware, but returned because of the aluminum attachment that goes inside the coffee pot lid to secure the glass top. On the actual product description that came with the tops, this aluminum ring was described as a "metal piece." On line, the Fitz-All percolator top is described as having a noncorroding aluminum ring. If the glass top had to have a metal ring to enable it to be secured to the coffee pot lid, the ring should have been stainless steel--not aluminum, corroding or noncorroding. Unless you like aluminum (which may not be good for your health), don't order this top.

The glass percolator top fits better and stays cleaner than the original top that came with my coffee percolator.

THAT WILL DEFINITELY KEEP THE RECESSION GOING. THE ADJUSTER PLATE STEEL IS VERY SOFT AND THIS NULLIFYS THE ABILITY OF THE WELL MADE CLEAR GLASS PERCOLATOR TOP TO KEEP ITS SEAT. ANOTHER PRODUCT OFFERED BY THE U.S.OF A. {R.T.W.}P.S. ISN'T THIS THE REASON WE NEED FEEDBACK.
